About The Position

This position is for a Corrector for the Introduction to Criminology course (CRM1300, Section A00) during the Spring/Summer 2026 semester. The role involves a combination of tasks related to the marking of papers and exams. The student must commit to meeting the deadlines set by the supervisor. The course is delivered synchronously and virtually. The total work hours are 117, with a start date of June 22, 2026, and an end date of August 15, 2026. The hourly rate is $30.53 for undergraduate students and $36.63 for graduate students (2024-2025 rates, excluding vacation and statutory pay). All University of Ottawa employees are required to complete mandatory legislated training.

Requirements

• Baccalauréat with specialization in Criminology or equivalent.
• Must meet deadlines set by the supervisor.
• Must complete all mandatory legislated training offered by the University.
• Undergraduate students will be paid at the lower rate; graduate students will be paid at the higher rate.
• The hiring process will be governed by the current CUPE 2626 collective agreement.
