About The Position

The Corrective Action Program (CAP) Analyst III supports and administers the organization's corrective action process by facilitating investigations, coordinating stakeholders, analyzing corrective and preventative actions data, and supporting corrective action tracking, reporting, verification, and closure. This intermediate-level role partners with operational leaders, compliance teams, safety professionals, auditors, and business units to ensure issues, findings, incidents, observations, risks, and improvement opportunities are consistently investigated, documented, tracked, and resolved. The Analyst III operates with moderate independence and serves as a key resource for corrective action documentation, investigation support, trend identification, and stakeholder follow-up. This role guides teams through fact-based problem solving, supports root and contributing cause identification, and assists with the development of practical and sustainable corrective actions.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required.
5 to 8 years of experience in corrective action, safety, compliance, utility operations, investigations, auditing, data analysis, or related functions.
Standard driver's license required.
Strong communication, facilitation, and documentation skills.
Ability to collect, organize, analyze, and report information from multiple sources.
Ability to coordinate and guide stakeholders without direct authority.
Familiarity with regulatory or compliance-driven environments such as pipeline safety or OSHA.
Working knowledge of corrective action processes, investigations, issue tracking, and documentation requirements.
Ability to support root and contributing cause discussions and develop practical corrective actions.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong interpersonal skills and stakeholder engagement abilities.
Ability to identify recurring themes, overdue actions, aging items, and emerging risks through CAP data review.
Experience using Safety Management Systems (SMS) software or corrective action tracking tools.
Experience supporting investigations using root cause methodologies.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field preferred.
Six Sigma Certification and/or PMI certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Facilitate problem-solving discussions with SMEs and stakeholders to define issues, desired outcomes, action owners, and next steps
Conduct stakeholder meetings to gather information, clarify concerns, and support accurate understanding of issues.
Guide teams through structured, fact-based investigation approaches and support root and contributing cause identification.
Collect, organize, and analyze information from multiple sources to support investigations and corrective action development.
Ensure documentation is clear, complete, and actionable.
Assist stakeholders with developing practical, risk-based corrective actions and identifying appropriate completion evidence.
Partner with stakeholders to ensure corrective actions address root and contributing causes and are documented for closure.
Monitor corrective action status, overdue items, aging items, and follow-up needs to support timely resolution.
Identify recurring issues, repeat findings, and emerging trends that may require escalation or broader corrective action.
Collaborate with Operations, Safety, Compliance, and Quality teams to ensure alignment.
Communicate findings, risks, trends, and insights to operational leaders and governance teams.
Prepare CAP status updates, action logs, trend summaries, and program reports.
Support CAP administration, process documentation, meeting preparation, user support, and continuous improvement initiatives.
