About The Position

The Department of Community Corrections and Rehabilitation (DOCCR) is seeking a Corrections Program Manager for the Adult Specialized Supervision Services division. This role oversees the Intensive Supervised Release, Enhanced Supervised Release, and Supervised Release units. The position requires strong, ongoing collaboration with the Minnesota Department of Corrections DOC. The Corrections Program Manager will ensure alignment with departmental policies and support continuous improvement in service delivery. This position is full-time, benefit earning. You must be a current regular or probationary employee of DOCCR to apply for this position. Note: Limited duration employees are not eligible. Requirements

  • Eight years or more of professional experience in corrections and at least one year of which must have been in administration or supervision.
  • Bachelor's degree in criminal justice, behavioral/social science or business, correctional or public administration or equivalent and four years or more professional experience in corrections, with at least one year in administration or supervision.
  • Master's degree or higher in criminal justice, behavioral/social science or business, correctional or public administration or equivalent and three years or more of professional experience in corrections.

Responsibilities

  • Manage programs designed to improve stability of clients and remove barriers to increase success of our clients in the community.
  • Provide direct oversite and development of policy and procedures in alignment with DOC requirements.
  • Design and direct probation/parole and practices and procedures with respect to casework, group work, and other client centered services.
  • Manage and execute division Evidence Based Practices (EBP) in the interest of the clients and communities we serve that support the DOCCR's continuous improvement efforts.
  • Participate and lead as a manager of the Adult Specialized Supervision Services division.
  • Supervise and manage staff.
  • Participate in the selection process for new hires and promotional opportunities.
  • Direct supervisors and staff in the absence of the Division Manager.
  • Provide leadership to further department-based strategies that align with county goals, mission and core values for diversity, equity & inclusion.
