Requirements
- Four years of experience performing building maintenance, construction, or general trades work; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
- Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
- You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
Responsibilities
- Direct inmate work crews completing routine construction, maintenance, repair, and groundskeeping tasks
- Assign daily schedules, monitor progress, and inspect completed assignments
- Teach safe operation and preventative care for machinery and vehicles
- Issues and track tools and supplies; conduct searches to ensure everything is accounted for
- Assist maintenance staff with skilled and semi-skilled tasks in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and other trades
- Maintain order, discipline, and accountability during all work activities
