This position allows you to contribute to productive factory operations while offering guidance to inmate workers at the State Correctional Institution (SCI) at Cambridge Springs. This role focuses on guiding inmate workers and supporting factory operations within the Corrections Industries Braille program.

Requirements

• Three years of experience in the production of goods or services; or An associate degree in industrial technology, operations management, business administration, or a related field; and one year of work experience in the production of goods or services; or An equivalent combination of experience and training, which includes one year of work experience in the production of goods or services.
• Meet the PA residency requirement.
• Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.
• Must be able to perform essential job functions.
• Must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Train inmate workers in production methods, equipment use, and computer programs for daily operational reporting
• Maintain a secure work environment by conducting searches, monitoring movement, and managing tool and supply inventories
• Use SAP to review plant activity and submit purchase requests to support efficient operations
• Analyze records, help set production goals, and recommend equipment improvements for better output
• Carry out additional duties needed to ensure smooth and effective operations
