Requirements

• Two years of experience as a Building Maintenance Foreman, Utility Plant Supervisor, or Corrections Tradesman Instructor (Commonwealth job titles or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration) with a specialty in one of the trades of Carpentry, Electrical, Refrigeration, Plumbing, Sheet Metal, Machinist, Welding, Painting, Automotive, Electronics, or Masonry; or Six years of experience in the construction, maintenance or repair of buildings; or the operation, maintenance and repair of utility services equipment, including two years in a managerial or supervisory capacity; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
• Successful completion of Basic Training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.
• Must meet the PA residency requirement.
• Must be able to perform essential job functions.
• Must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Plan work schedules, assign tasks, and coordinate maintenance activities across the facility.
• Supervise maintenance and trades staff and provide guidance, training, and feedback.
• Evaluate assignment details, inspect completed tasks, and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Control tools, materials, and equipment while maintaining accurate inventory records.
• Prepare required reports and maintain personnel, budget, and operational records.
• Respond appropriately to emergencies after hours.
