This role is responsible for ensuring compliance and driving quality improvement within the corrections system. The coordinator will learn new tasks, maintain focus, complete tasks independently, and make timely decisions within workflows, potentially meeting speed and productivity quotas. A significant part of the role involves supervision, including training, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions for supervised employees, interns, and contract staff. The position also focuses on implementing evidence-based practices and continuous quality improvement (CQI) methodologies, overseeing CQI projects from initiation to completion, and assisting with research and program evaluation. Additionally, the role supports grant preparation by providing relevant information and performing research duties for awarded grants. Dissemination of information through timely and accurate reporting, presentations, and training to internal and external staff is also a key function.
