About Indiana State Prison: Indiana State Prison is a level‑four maximum‑security facility located in Michigan City, Indiana, with a capacity of more than 2,400 incarcerated adult males. As the oldest correctional facility in the state, it has a long history and operates on a secured 24‑acre campus with ten manned towers. Role Overview: As the Correctional Classification Specialist, you will be responsible for the coordination of the classification functions. In this position, you will help with incarcerated individuals admission/orientation, intake/release, monitoring the reentry/classification boards, and management of all records/documents for incarcerated individual packets. You will also ensure that all incarcerated individuals with a medical/program classification are identified and appropriately assigned.
