About The Position
This is a position at Piedmont Correctional Institution located in Salisbury, N.C. (Rowan County), which is a Medium male prison facility housing 800 inmates. Employees compile socio-psychological histories on inmates and prepare and present written summary reports with recommendations on classification and program needs. Employees provide supportive counseling when necessary and act as a referral. This position will report to the Senior Correctional Case Analyst.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a human services field from an appropriately accredited institution and one year of experience in testing or interviewing, and/or counseling; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Nice To Haves
- Documented knowledge of test analysis and interpretation.
- Documented knowledge of interviewing techniques and principles.
- Documented knowledge of rules, regulations, and policies relating to inmate custody and treatment.
