As a Corporate Trainer at Horizon, you will train identified staff in the agency EHR including general navigation and system overview, and position-specific navigational tasks. You will compose training reports detailing various milestone achievements and areas for growth and improvement. This role involves classroom management, real-time problem-solving, and collaboration with employee supervisors to communicate concerns or needs. You will incorporate principles of adult learning in the design and delivery of effective training and incorporate EHR functionality changes into training curriculums. You will also assist with training existing staff in preparation for EHR promotions and other functionality / improvement changes across the agency, and assist/participate in testing new internal workflows in the EHR system. You will maintain, revise, and collaborate to create and update all training materials and content (checklists, flowcharts, screen shots, training videos) in UKG Pro Learning and SharePoint. You will complete training set up including creating patient charts, scheduler templates, etc. You will coordinate with Employee Services Department (ES) and Information Technology (IT) to monitor anticipated new hires each month (total numbers and positions). You will provide feedback to trainees as needed and respond to questions and concerns during training. You will provide virtual office hours availability to support staff navigation needs. In-clinic support may be provided dependent on the needs of the staff member. You will attend monthly department meetings, regularly scheduled training meetings and supervision. You will participate in any committees relating to training content (where applicable). Perform other related duties and activities as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred; however, candidates with a Bachelor's degree in another field and substantial relevant experience may be considered.
  • Behavioral health work experience preferred (e.g., hospital inpatient, residential, counseling office, mental health/substance use treatment services).
  • Prior experience in training or instructional design preferred. This can include previous formal and informal training experience.
  • Knowledge of Millennium EHR system is highly desirable; prior experience with this or similar systems (e.g. Epic, NextGen) is advantageous
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to tailor content to different audiences (non-clinical and clinical staff, varying roles and backgrounds).
  • Excellent computer skills, knowledge of Microsoft 365 software and virtual learning platforms (Teams / Zoom).
