About The Position

Dover Food Retail (DFR) is seeking an experienced Corporate Trainer to lead Hillphoenix Learning Center Programs. This role involves facilitating programs across the country, assisting with curriculum development and implementation, and staying updated on industry trends. The trainer will collaborate with the Learning Center team to develop hands-on learning activities, review curriculum for accuracy, and provide feedback. They will also be responsible for completing thorough evaluations, managing on-the-road training programs, and overseeing Learning Center certification programs. This position requires a strong understanding of HVAC/R systems and supermarket refrigeration, as well as excellent presentation and instructional skills.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of HVAC/R experience
  • 5+ years in the supermarket refrigeration industry
  • EPA Certified Instructor for refrigerant training
  • Strong working knowledge of computer and proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret engineering drawings, one-line diagrams, control wiring diagrams, general business periodicals, professional journals, technical information and procedures, government regulations
  • Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing with employees at all levels, i.e. production staff, application engineers, managers, executives, customers and the general public
  • Must be willing and able to discipline themselves to work to schedules and deadlines, and flexible enough to adjust their working hours accordingly
  • Overnight travel will be required, including the United States and Canada
  • Must have strong presentation and instructional skills

Nice To Haves

  • Technical Certification or Degree with 10 years of HVAC/R experience, with a minimum of 5 years in the supermarket refrigeration industry
  • Familiarity with Hillphoenix product lines.
  • Self-motivated with a good attitude and a desire to work in a team atmosphere

Responsibilities

  • Lead and conduct both lecture and hands-on learning activities for contractors, customers, dealers, and employees.
  • Collaborate with Learning Center team members to be a key contact for the curriculum development process, including development of hands-on learning activities, reviewing curriculum for accuracy, providing feedback to course writers, and participating in weekly review meetings.
  • Complete and process thorough evaluations that will be instrumental in the training quality control process.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, which include new product and process that relate to both Hillphoenix products and field activity, i.e. new installation practices, new products, etc.
  • Assist with managing on the road training program, which includes database updates, scheduling, and updating curriculum content.
  • Collaborate with team members on course delivery planning and resource allocation; as well as managing inventory of learning assets, i.e. demo units.
  • Manage Learning Center certification programs.
  • Produce learning materials.
