About The Position

GardaWorld Security Services is hiring a part-time Surveillance Security Officer in Orangeburg, New York. The role involves monitoring security systems and screens to spot threats before they escalate, documenting incidents, responding to potential threats, conducting patrols, controlling access to secure areas, and helping protect people and property. The position is based in Orangeburg, NY, and applicants must be able to commute to the location daily.

There are two overnight schedule options: Saturday from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM, or Friday through Sunday from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM. The wage is $23.00 per hour. Employment is contingent on successfully completing a background check and drug screening after an offer is extended.

Requirements

• Be authorized to work in the United States.
• Have a New York security license.
• Have strong computer skills.
• Provide documentation of a high school diploma or GED.
• Pass an extensive screening process, background check, and drug screening.
• Have strong report-writing skills.
• Have sharp visual acuity and exceptional concentration skills.
• Have strong proficiency with technology.
• Be able to commute daily to the Orangeburg, NY location.

Nice To Haves

• CCURE 9000 experience; preferred but not required.
• Genetec experience; preferred but not required.
• Security, military, or law enforcement experience.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security systems to detect suspicious activity.
• Document observed events and incidents by writing detailed reports.
• Respond quickly to incidents or potential threats.
• Conduct regular patrols to help ensure the safety of the premises.
• Control access to secure areas and verify visitors’ identities.
• Analyze security systems to identify potential vulnerabilities or malfunctions.
• Collaborate with law enforcement in serious situations or emergencies.
• Help ensure the safety and protection of individuals and property.
