About The Position

Cummins’ Corporate Strategy team works with senior leaders to develop recommendations on the company’s strategic priorities as the power industry shifts toward a more diversified and decarbonized energy landscape. The role contributes to Cummins’ transition to a clean energy future, initially owning an individual workstream and potentially progressing to ownership of entire projects. The position offers opportunities to present recommendations directly to Cummins leaders. Example intern projects have included evaluating clean-energy growth opportunities, assessing mergers and acquisitions options, and developing supply-chain risk mitigation strategies. The role is based in Columbus or Indianapolis, Indiana, and is hybrid. Interns are expected to work from an office location three days per week; working from home is also possible, and managers are expected to be present in both locations periodically for stakeholder and team engagement. The team emphasizes personal and professional development and a supportive culture that values work-life balance.
