About The Position

Battelle is seeking an experienced Corporate Pilot-Captain to join its Corporate Aviation team in Columbus, Ohio. The role provides safe, professional, and reliable air transportation aboard company aircraft, with a strong focus on passenger safety and a high-quality travel experience. The pilot applies aviation expertise, sound judgment, and a safety-first mindset to each flight. When dispatched as pilot-in-command, the captain has final authority and overall responsibility for the safe conduct of the flight. The role also includes aviation-related departmental duties when not flying.

Requirements

• Pass an FAA Class 1 Medical Exam.
• Hold a valid passport.
• Be able to obtain, at Battelle’s expense, an FAA type rating in the Falcon 50EX aircraft.
• Have at least 3,500 total logged flying hours, including 1,500 hours logged as pilot in turbine-powered multi-engine aircraft.
• Maintain pilot-in-command currency in the Falcon 50EX.

Responsibilities

• Ensure flights are conducted safely in coordination with the other crew member and in accordance with FAA regulations and Battelle policy.
• When acting as pilot-in-command, assume final authority and overall responsibility for the safe conduct of the flight.
• Conduct trips in a manner that best serves passenger needs.
• Perform preflight and postflight aircraft inspections to ensure airworthiness.
• Perform departmental aviation duties when not engaged in flight, including record keeping and revisions.
