About The Position

RMI’s Development & Strategic Engagement team is seeking a candidate who demonstrates excellence in project management and operational support to join its team as a Corporate Partnerships Lead. This role involves managing proposal processes, funder reports, financial oversight, team coordination, account management, and event support for the corporate vertical, with approximately 80% of the work dedicated to the vertical and 20% in service of the overall Development Team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years of progressively responsible administrative, finance, operations, project management or related experience OR a minimum of 5 years of experience working at a foundation, institutional funder, or on a fundraising team
  • Grant administration experience at a foundation, corporation, or nonprofit organization
  • Excellent writing skills and strong verbal communication skills
  • Experience copyediting and/or writing for a technical audience
  • Project management and budgeting experience
  • Ability to understand revenue forecasting
  • Proven organization skills and flexibility when it comes to balancing priorities and multi-tasking
  • Strong team and interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Experience working with complex budgets and funders
  • Ability to manage stakeholder relationships effectively

Responsibilities

  • Project manage the proposal processes for dozens of complex accounts and multiple relationship managers, including setting timelines, managing communication, tracking progress, and ensuring timely submission of high-quality proposals.
  • Manage the tracking, preparation, and submission of funder reports for vertical Relationship Managers, including setting up drafts, managing communication, editing content, and reviewing financial reports.
  • Maintain a current, detailed view of the corporate vertical’s funding pipeline and provide feedback to leadership on funding gaps.
  • Prepare presentations and reports for RMI leadership on the Vertical’s funding projections.
  • Manage grant agreements for philanthropic opportunities, including internal reviews, pre-approvals, and ensuring agreements are correctly logged in Salesforce.
  • Prepare and run complex Salesforce reports.
  • Work with the Senior Director of Strategic Operations and other Development POLs to ensure smooth and efficient operations for the wider Development team.
  • Consistently assess current systems for managing complex accounts, identify gaps, and suggest improvements.
  • Train users in existing and new systems (e.g., Salesforce, Monday.com).
  • Work with Development Communications to ensure funders are accurately represented and accounted for in communications-related decisions and activities.
  • Lead operations on major stakeholder convenings for the corporate vertical, including managing input within Salesforce campaigns and attending executive travel meetings.
  • Ensure that funders receive timely and accurate information about upcoming events.
  • Support Relationship Managers in driving forward account strategies by developing and maintaining key account strategy documents and translating that information into Salesforce Account Profiles.
  • Develop and implement a systemized and achievable fundraising roadmap and/or stewardship strategy for major donors.
  • Ensure that details of stewardship plans are compiled and communicated to all involved parties, and that the plan is documented and implemented.
  • Track engagement and follow-up with corporate accounts and the internal account management team.
  • Participate in regular coordination meetings with corporate engagement staff embedded within programs.
