About The Position

The Corporate Paralegal position supports Taco in-house counsel by executing the day-to-day legal administration and coordination work. The role is responsible for intake and tracking of legal requests, contract and matter administration, records management, and outside counsel administrative support in alignment with established playbooks and escalation thresholds. This role increases legal throughput, improves response timeliness, and enables cost control by ensuring that legal work is organized, documented, and routed appropriately. This role does not provide legal advice and operates under the supervision of counsel.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or 4+ years of relevant professional experience
  • 4 years of experience in a paralegal, operations, or administrative support capacity.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage confidential information with sound judgment and discretion.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional stakeholders and outside counsel.

Nice To Haves

  • Paralegal certificate preferred.
  • Experience supporting contract administration, matter tracking, and document management.
  • Experience supporting outside counsel administrative workflows (budgets/estimates tracking and billing guideline compliance).
  • Experience supporting audit or diligence readiness through organized records and repeatable processes.
  • Proficiency with Legisway, Agiloft, and Microsoft 365, and willingness to learn new systems and workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Administer the legal request intake process; log, route, and track requests using defined categories and escalation thresholds.
  • Maintain databases and status reporting (deadlines, milestones, ownership, next actions).
  • Coordinate scheduling, document collection, and stakeholder follow-up for legal matters.
  • Maintain executed agreement repository; ensure agreements are stored, searchable, and version controlled.
  • Administer signature routing and document workflow; track execution status and follow up with business owners.
  • Support contract lifecycle administration (renewal alerts, key dates, obligation tracking support) consistent with counsel-defined governance.
  • Maintain and publish approved contract templates, clause library, and playbooks; manage version control.
  • Ensure templates and playbooks are current and version-controlled.
  • Support rollout of standardized contracting processes (templates, checklists, intake forms, training logistics, updates) as directed by counsel.
  • Ensure stakeholders are using standardized forms and pathways.
  • Administer outside counsel engagement workflow (intake package and file organization).
  • Track matter budgets/estimates and billing documentation; support invoice review workflow for compliance with billing guidelines and engagement terms (not accounts payable processing).
  • Maintain preferred provider contact list and matter documentation standards.
  • Support corporate governance recordkeeping (entity files, approvals, minute book coordination) in partnership with registered agent services, as applicable.
  • Coordinate collection and organization of documents for diligence readiness and audits, as directed.
  • Administer intake and logging of legal notices, subpoenas, and service of process; route to counsel immediately and track deadlines.
  • Maintain matter files and document organization for claims and disputes, coordinating with insurers and stakeholders as directed.
