About The Position

The Paralegal role supports legal and business stakeholders in complex, writing-intensive employment-based immigration matters. The role involves advanced legal drafting, nuanced analysis of eligibility documentation, and independent ownership of cases across a range of nonimmigrant and immigrant visa categories. The ideal candidate exercises sound judgment, produces polished written work with minimal oversight, and is comfortable managing sophisticated matters in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

  • Bachelor’s degree or Paralegal Certificate required.
  • Three (3) to five (5) years of U.S. business immigration experience in a law firm or professional services environment.
  • Demonstrated experience handling complex or non-routine employment-based immigration matters.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with consular processing and/or I-9/E-Verify compliance programs preferred.
  • Experience with immigration case management software and government filing portals preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and file employment-based nonimmigrant and immigrant visa petitions, including H-1B, L-1A/B, O-1, P, TN, E-3, NIW, PERM/I-140, EB-1C, and other complex or executive-level cases.
  • Independently compile, review, and analyze immigration eligibility documentation, identifying issues and escalation points for attorney or legal team review.
  • Draft, edit, and finalize case support letters, RFE responses, legal correspondence, and written client communications requiring strong narrative and persuasive writing skills.
  • Manage consular processing workflows, including DS-160 preparation, NVC coordination, and interview preparation support.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for assigned matters, communicating professionally with internal stakeholders and clients regarding case strategy, timelines, and government procedures.
  • Maintain responsibility for assigned caseloads, tracking deadlines, visa expiration dates, and filing windows to ensure proactive, compliant case management.
  • Generate and distribute client-facing population reports, expiring status summaries, and case status updates as required.
  • Support employer I-9 and E-Verify compliance efforts, including audits and enrollment support under legal supervision.
  • Conduct legal and procedural research related to immigration filings, regulatory changes, and policy updates.
  • Maintain and update immigration case management systems (e.g., INSZoom, Cerenade, or similar), ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
  • Provide backup support to other team members and assist with discrete projects or advanced filings as assigned.
