About The Position

The Corporate Paralegal provides comprehensive legal and operational support to the Sports Division Legal Department and plays a key role in managing the day-to-day legal needs of the business. The position is responsible for managing routine contract matters and legal workflows, maintaining legal and contract management systems, supporting litigation, claims and subpoena responses, and providing general legal support. This role collaborates closely with in-house counsel, business teams, and outside counsel to efficiently manage legal matters and support the operations of the business.

Requirements

Associate’s degree or certificate in Paralegal Studies from an accredited program
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a paralegal, preferably in-house
Experience with case management or document management systems
Strong knowledge of legal terminology, procedures, and document formatting
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal research tools (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
High attention to detail and strong organizational abilities
Discretion in handling confidential and sensitive information
Able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

Responsibilities

Draft, review, revise, and manage form agreements and other legal documents under attorney supervision, including premium seating agreements, NDAs, sweepstakes and contest rules, commission agreements, and other form agreements.
Manage routine contract matters from intake through execution, including coordinating internal review and approvals, communicating with business stakeholders, tracking status, facilitating signatures, and maintaining executed agreements.
Assist with the development, implementation, and ongoing improvement of standard contract templates, clauses, playbooks, and Legal Department processes.
Organize and maintain the Company’s contract management system in coordination with the master administrator at Company’s parent company, including ensuring agreements and related information are complete, accurate, and properly maintained.
Manage and coordinate responses to subpoenas, records requests, and other legal processes, including document collection, review, and production.
Support litigation, claims, and other disputes, including coordinating with outside counsel, gathering and organizing documents, tracking deadlines and matter status, maintaining case files, and preparing materials for attorney review.
Assist with insurance and claims matters, including gathering relevant documentation and coordinating with internal stakeholders.
Assist with intellectual property matters, including trademark applications, renewals, portfolio maintenance, and coordination with outside intellectual property counsel.
Maintain organized and accurate Legal Department files, records, matter trackers, calendars, and other systems, including tracking relevant deadlines, renewals, and recurring legal obligations.
Prepare correspondence, legal forms, internal memoranda, summaries, presentations, and other materials for attorney review.
Conduct legal research regarding laws, regulations, case law, and other matters relevant to the Company’s operations.
Identify opportunities to improve Legal Department processes, organization, efficiency, and use of technology.
Provide project, operational, and administrative support to the Legal Department, and assist with other legal matters and initiatives, as assigned.
