About The Position

Under minimal direction, the Corporate Paralegal and Compliance Specialist will manage our daily legal operations, corporate governance, and regulatory reporting. This role will act as a core support hub for our executive team, maintaining corporate entities, reviewing contracts, and ensuring absolute compliance with applicable laws and municipal operational requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree relevant to position and/or American Bar Association (ABA) approved Paralegal Certificate.
  • Minimum 3-5+ years of in-house Corporate legal department or business law firm experience.
  • California labor knowledge: Demonstrate experience navigating California-specific regulatory bodies, specifically DIR reporting and prevailing wage structures.
  • High proficiency with entity management portals, e-filing systems, and contract lifecycle management tools.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and file all necessary City, County and state registrations.
  • Maintain accurate corporate minute books, resolutions.
  • Administer shareholder support tracking, including issuing and managing stock certificates, ledgers.
  • Perform initial reviews, redlines, and structural audits of vendor contracts, non-disclosure agreements, and general legal agreements.
  • Certificate of Insurance, Bonds and related documents as required.
  • Assist in specialized due diligence and document management for property purchases and property leases.
  • Conduct rigorous research on prevailing wage requirements and handle ongoing Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) public works reporting.
  • Support administrative tracking and documentation for company Worker’s Compensation claims and renewals.
  • Coordinate operational compliance and rigorous record-keeping for the company’s regional Vanpool program requirements.
  • Serve as the primary administrative liaison for ongoing and new legal litigation cases, organizing discovery evidence and managing case tracking timelines.
  • Facilitate administrative tracking and standard form drafting for the protection of company patents and trademarks.
  • Regular punctuality, attendance, and absence reporting in conformance with company policies is essential to the successful performance of this position; and
  • Fully comply with company rules, policies, procedures, and safety guidelines to ensure safe and effective operations.
