As our Corporate Marketing Communications Lead, you'll play a pivotal role in elevating Avalere Health's brand, reputation, and market presence across the US and globally. Working as part of our central Corporate Marketing team, you'll partner closely with US Marketing colleagues and cross-functional experts in digital, content, campaigns, analytics, and communications to deliver integrated marketing initiatives that build awareness, strengthen client relationships, and drive business growth. This is a highly visible role with the opportunity to lead impactful thought leadership, PR, awards, sponsorships, and multi-channel marketing programmes. You'll help define how Avalere Health is perceived in the market, ensuring our brand positioning, messaging, and content consistently reflect our mission and resonate with clients, employees, industry influencers, and broader healthcare audiences. By combining strategic thinking with hands-on execution, you'll help amplify our story across owned, earned, and paid channels while creating meaningful commercial opportunities for the business.

Requirements

Extensive corporate marketing experience in an agency or consultancy setting, ideally within healthcare, life sciences or professional services setting.
Expertise in brand strategy, positioning and corporate communications.
Proven success leading integrated marketing and thought leadership programs.
Strong PR and media relations background.
Excellent writing, content creation and editorial skills.
Skilled in influencing senior stakeholders and driving cross-functional collaboration.
Previous experience working in a global organization.
Proficient in AI-enabled tools to enhance marketing effectiveness and team productivity.

Responsibilities

Lead the evolution and governance of the Avalere Health brand for US Marketing, working alongside peers leading other Corporate Marketing capabilities.
Develop the annual Corporate Brand, Thought Leadership and PR plans, contributing to the wider Corporate Marketing plan in partnership with fellow Associate Directors.
Maintain brand governance and consistency across all channels. Ensure brand messaging, positioning and tone of voice is always applied.
Monitor competitor activity, brand awareness, and market perception. Translate insights into recommendations that strengthen brand performance.
Measure and optimize effectiveness across all channels.
Develop brand guidance and assets that enable teams to deliver consistent communications.
Play a key role in cross-functional initiatives by bringing together colleagues across Corporate Marketing, Commercial, Strategy, and Capability teams to deliver integrated programs.
Collaborate with marketing, commercial and capability leaders to ensure campaigns align with business priorities, building trusted relationships with senior leaders across the business.
Influence stakeholders to ensure alignment on messaging and priorities.
Balance competing business needs while maintaining brand consistency.
Manage multiple projects across functions and geographies.
Partner with the leaders across Avalere Health, in particular in US Marketing to bring Avalere Health's strategic and creative initiatives to life through compelling external communications that demonstrate our mission and impact.
Translate complex strategic thinking into engaging client-facing content.
Partner with subject matter experts to develop evidence-based perspectives on healthcare challenges.
Lead the development of external thought leadership strategies in partnership within US Marketing, including annual planning, briefing, writing/editing, design and publication.
Establish content frameworks and governance that improve quality, consistency, and efficiency.
Develop integrated campaigns across social, media and digital channels to increase awareness, engagement, and lead generation.
Explore new avenues for thought leadership (e.g., webinars, video content, byline articles).
Influence Avalere Health's PR & Media strategy, setting standards and governance for external communications in partnership with Corporate Marketing peers.
Develop the annual PR & Media strategy and roadmap, aligning plans with the wider Corporate Marketing strategy and collaborating with the team leading other marketing capabilities to deliver integrated campaigns.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key healthcare, business and trade media, identifying opportunities to increase Avalere Health's profile and share of voice in the US Marketing space.
Lead proactive media engagement, including press releases, byline articles, executive commentary and thought leadership placements.
Partner with Associate Directors across Digital, Campaigns, Content and Analytics to ensure PR activity is integrated into broader marketing programs and commercial priorities.
Partner with senior leaders and subject matter experts to identify compelling stories, develop key messages and position Avalere Health as a trusted voice in healthcare.
Identify and manage opportunities for awards, speaking engagements, sponsorships and industry partnerships that strengthen brand awareness and support commercial growth.
Provide strategic communications support for corporate announcements, business milestones and high-profile initiatives.
Monitor media coverage, competitor activity and industry trends, using insights to inform communications strategy and identify new opportunities.
