About The Position

We are seeking a Corporate M&A / Regulatory Change Specialist to support our client, one of the largest tech companies in the world. In this role, you will apply your transactional and regulatory expertise to help researchers develop and evaluate legal AI models through realistic scenarios, training data, and evaluation frameworks.

Requirements

Active California Bar admission and 5+ years of active legal practice experience in M&A due diligence and/or regulatory compliance.
Substantive experience with regulatory change analysis.
Experience with legal research and analysis, document drafting and review, and legal strategy.
Familiarity with SEC EDGAR and Westlaw and/or LexisNexis.
Juris Doctor degree or equivalent and licensed to practice law in an applicable jurisdiction.

Nice To Haves

A blend of BigLaw, mid-size/boutique, and/or in-house experience.
Strong interest in legal AI and understanding what makes complex transactional and regulatory tasks challenging.

Responsibilities

Developing M&A, due diligence, and regulatory scenarios, prompts, training data, and evaluation rubrics for legal AI models.
Supporting workflows involving due diligence, data room synthesis, regulatory change monitoring, impact mapping, and cross-document contract extraction.
Owning training and evaluation workflows from scenario development through quality checks, validation, and rating.
Stress-testing legal AI outputs and collaborating with researchers and vendors to improve model performance.
Reviewing model-generated transactional and regulatory analysis for accuracy, completeness, and practical application.
Identifying complex deal and regulatory scenarios that can be used to test and improve model capabilities.
