About The Position

Greenberg Traurig (GT), a global law firm, has an exciting full-time employment opportunity for a junior level Associate (2-4 years) in the Corporate Practice, Mergers and Acquisitions group, of our Fort Lauderdale office. This is a full-time position based in our Fort Lauderdale office. Requirements

  • J.D. from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Florida Bar or willingness to become admitted promptly.
  • 2-4 years of M&A, private equity and general corporate experience at a national or regional law firm.
  • Strong drafting, negotiation, and project management skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a high-volume practice.
  • Motivated candidate with strong interpersonal skills, a high degree of maturity, and a proven willingness to accept significant responsibility.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with cross-border transactions.
  • Familiarity with private equity transactions.
  • Comfort working directly with clients and managing multiple deals simultaneously.

Responsibilities

  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating acquisition agreements and ancillary agreements for complex M&A and private equity transactions.
  • Lead critical transaction workstreams such as due diligence (including for rep and warranty insurance transactions).
  • Manage tax, benefits, real estate and other internal and external specialists.
  • Interface with the client on these workstreams.
  • Assisting with closing preparations, including drafting closing deliverables, and ensuring post-closing obligations are met.
