Responsibilities

  • Develop CSR policies and long-term planning, coordinating environmental aspects in order to meet customer requirements, coordination of diversity programs (supplier & associate), coordination of human rights policies to align with the requirements of our customers.
  • Gain knowledge of all aspects of governance as part of succession planning. These include compliance & ethics, diversity, environment, governance, health & safety, social responsibility, charitable giving, community service, and trade compliance.
  • Associate will also be trained to conduct internal audit to ensure compliance with company and industry systems.
  • Goals for this position are mainly derived from customers requirements, which are generally updated on a yearly basis or deadlines are provided for. A variety of projects are created based off of these updated requirements. Most projects have the opportunity for intellectual and creative freedom as there are many ways to create the end result.
  • Partner with other departments to outline customers' requirements and implement the requirements into internal practices and policies. Meet with a group, discuss the requirements, incorporate them as needed, and check to verify everything is accounted for and revisions are made.
  • Compile data and publish the Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Report. This includes any initiatives that assist in growing the company image and demonstrates leadership in the community.
  • Participate in monthly meetings (some more frequent) of various committees - CO2 Reduction, Business Continuity Plan, Biodiversity, Compliance Database, Paper Reduction, Trade Compliance, Diversity, and oversee Community Involvement Committee. Contribute to the conversations, investigate any unknowns, and help track metrics.
  • Create a yearly budget for the charitable donations and request those donations at the appropriate time. Research any additional opportunities for charitable donations and serve as main contact for donation requests.
  • Provide executive management and the Administration Division with important updates on the Corporate Governance Department. These updates occur at the weekly Division and Departmental meetings, the monthly goal revision meetings, and the information is input into the monthly reports.
  • Informational slides pertaining to Conservation news updates are created on Canva and shared internally to all Weastec associates. Monthly Conservation News updates are created and posted to the Weastec website and linked on the monthly Sustainable Synergy newsletter.
  • Serve as the social media administrator and track the monthly usage of the Weastec media pages and company website.
