About The Position

Envita is seeking an exceptionally organized, hands-on financial professional to serve as the Corporate Governance & Accounting Manager for its management company. This role combines controller-level accounting responsibility, corporate governance, executive financial reporting, payroll administration, entity management, and financial operations into one highly visible position. The successful candidate will own the management company’s day-to-day accounting operations while maintaining the integrity of the corporate structure and becoming a trusted partner to the Director of Accounting and executive leadership. The right person will be equally comfortable preparing an executive financial package, reconciling accounts, processing payroll, reviewing cash flow, maintaining corporate records, coordinating with outside advisors, and improving financial controls and reporting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a closely related field.
  • Seven or more years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Demonstrated experience owning the full accounting cycle.
  • Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Advanced QuickBooks experience.
  • Experience managing general-ledger accounting, reconciliations, close processes, and financial-statement preparation.
  • Accounts-payable, accounts-receivable, and payroll-administration experience.
  • Experience working with multiple legal entities.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency.
  • Exceptional organizational and document-management abilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and operate with minimal supervision.
  • Willingness and ability to personally perform detailed accounting and administrative work.

Responsibilities

  • Perform full-cycle accounting for the management company and select affiliated entities.
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Maintain the general ledger and supporting schedules.
  • Complete bank, credit-card, and balance-sheet reconciliations.
  • Manage month-end and year-end close activities.
  • Prepare financial statements and management reports.
  • Maintain accurate QuickBooks records.
  • Monitor cash flow across multiple entities.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
  • Coordinate annual tax preparation with outside CPA firms.
  • Support acquisitions, investments, financing activities, and new business ventures.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings, control improvements, and operating efficiencies.
  • Maintain the integrity of a complex multi-entity corporate structure.
  • Organize and maintain corporate records and entity documentation.
  • Maintain operating agreements, management agreements, ownership records, corporate resolutions, loan documents, and promissory notes.
  • Maintain annual reports, state filings, minute books, and compliance records.
  • Track filing requirements and governance deadlines across entities.
  • Coordinate with outside legal counsel regarding documentation and filings.
  • Support entity formation, restructuring, ownership changes, and related documentation.
  • Ensure leadership can quickly access accurate and current corporate records.
  • Prepare monthly executive financial reporting packages.
  • Develop dashboards summarizing financial and operating performance.
  • Prepare cash-flow, liquidity, and entity-level financial reports.
  • Prepare investment reporting and portfolio summaries.
  • Track investment performance and returns.
  • Analyze trends, risks, exceptions, and emerging issues.
  • Translate financial data into clear, decision-ready information.
  • Present recommendations that support executive decision-making.
  • Process payroll for approximately 40 employees through ADP.
  • Maintain payroll records and compliance documentation.
  • Coordinate employee changes with Human Resources.
  • Support onboarding and offboarding documentation.
  • Administer employee benefits and payroll deductions.
  • Ensure payroll-tax filings and benefit deductions are completed accurately.
  • Resolve payroll, deduction, and employee-record discrepancies promptly.
  • Coordinate with ADP and outside service providers as needed.
  • Coordinate with CPAs, attorneys, tax advisors, investment professionals, bankers, insurance professionals, and other outside advisors.
  • Support confidential executive financial and operational projects.
  • Maintain exceptional organization of financial and corporate records.
  • Develop and document improved financial and administrative processes.
  • Support special projects related to acquisitions, financing, investments, entity development, and new business opportunities.
  • Manage sensitive financial and corporate information with complete discretion.
