About The Position

The Corporate Director of Distribution & Transitions is responsible for supporting and executing the company’s distribution strategy, connectivity infrastructure, and hotel transition initiatives across the portfolio. This role oversees channel performance, rate integrity, system integrations, and electronic distribution execution while serving as the primary distribution lead during hotel openings, conversions, rebranding efforts, and management transitions. The position works cross-functionally with Revenue Management, Marketing, Operations, IT, Sales, and external partners to ensure seamless transition execution, strong channel visibility, platform compliance, and optimized net revenue performance across all properties, including Marriott distribution systems where applicable. The role also serves as a strategic partner to the VP of Revenue Management in executing portfolio-wide commercial initiatives, transition planning, distribution optimization, and system integrations to support overall revenue performance and operational scalability.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in hotel distribution, revenue management, eCommerce, or commercial strategy within hospitality
  • Strong experience with hotel openings, transitions, rebranding projects, or management conversions
  • Advanced knowledge of SynXis, channel managers, OTAs, GDS platforms, and Marriott distribution systems
  • Demonstrated experience managing rate parity, connectivity, and channel compliance
  • Experience supporting multi-property or portfolio environments required
  • Strong analytical and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives involving Operations, IT, Revenue Management, and Marketing
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and troubleshooting skills

Responsibilities

  • Support and execute portfolio-wide distribution strategy in alignment with the VP of Revenue Management
  • Oversee rate loading, inventory management, restrictions, channel mapping, and connectivity across all systems
  • Ensure distribution strategies align with revenue optimization, marketing campaigns, and commercial objectives
  • Maintain compliance with Marriott and brand distribution standards where applicable
  • Lead distribution and connectivity workstreams during hotel transitions, acquisitions, openings, rebranding initiatives, and management conversions
  • Coordinate CRS, PMS, channel manager, OTA, GDS, and brand system setup and activation timelines
  • Manage sell date readiness, distribution audits, channel activation, and transition critical path execution
  • Partner with Operations, IT, Marketing, and third-party vendors to ensure successful go-live execution
  • Oversee system testing, connectivity validation, rate audits, content accuracy, and booking flow functionality prior to launch
  • Support transition strategy for room inventory structure, package setup, distribution segmentation, and connectivity architecture
  • Maintain rate parity and inventory consistency across all distribution platforms
  • Monitor and resolve discrepancies related to pricing, availability, restrictions, and content
  • Identify root causes of parity issues and implement corrective action plans with internal teams and external partners
  • Ensure ongoing channel compliance and platform accuracy
  • Ensure room types, descriptions, images, packages, add-ons, and promotional content are accurate and aligned across all channels
  • Partner with Marketing and eCommerce teams on promotions, digital merchandising, and booking engine optimization
  • Support strategic initiatives related to package creation, ancillary revenue, and retailing opportunities
  • Serve as the corporate lead overseeing day-to-day distribution systems and connectivity initiatives in alignment with the strategic direction established by the VP of Revenue Management
  • Support implementation of new distribution tools, integrations, and platform enhancements
  • Coordinate vendor relationships, connectivity escalations, audits, and ongoing system optimization
  • Support reporting and visibility across distribution performance and implementation milestones
