About The Position

Nubank is seeking a senior Corporate Development professional to establish its presence in San Francisco, a hub for innovation in crypto, AI, and fintech. This role is part of the Global Corporate Development team and will focus on identifying and executing strategic opportunities, particularly in crypto (acquihires and acquisitions), to support Nubank's international growth. The scope will expand over time to include AI partnerships, design talent, and fintech M&A as the Bay Area presence grows. This is a highly autonomous position for an entrepreneurial individual who can operate independently while collaborating with a global team.

Requirements

5-10 years of experience in tech (ideally crypto and AI), Corporate Development, M&A, investment banking, venture capital, or growth equity.
Strong preference for candidates with direct experience in or alongside the crypto/Web3 ecosystem.
Deep familiarity with the Bay Area tech and startup ecosystem, particularly in crypto and/or AI.
An existing network with founders, VCs, and operators is essential.
Demonstrated ability to lead complex transactions or partnerships end-to-end (sourcing, thesis development, negotiation, closing).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to synthesize complex topics for executive audiences.
Highly autonomous and self-directed, comfortable operating with ambiguity and across time zones.
Fluency in English required.

Experience working with or within a global, fast-growing technology company in fintech, crypto, or AI.
Portuguese or Spanish fluency.

Responsibilities

Serve as Nubank's representative in the Bay Area, acting as the primary contact with the US startup ecosystem (founders, VCs, investment banks, strategic partners), with a focus on crypto and AI.
Lead crypto M&A efforts, including sourcing, evaluating, and executing acquihires and acquisitions in the crypto/Web3 space.
Manage the entire deal flow process from initial contact through term sheet and closing, in coordination with the LatAm CorpDev team.
Build and maintain a strong network within the crypto and AI sectors, including founders, VCs, crypto-native funds, accelerators, and ecosystem intermediaries in the Bay Area.
Identify and lead strategic opportunities beyond crypto, such as AI, design, and other areas relevant to Nubank's global strategy, in partnership with team leadership.
Drive end-to-end execution of prioritized transactions and partnerships, coordinating across CorpDev, Legal, Finance, and business units.
Prepare high-quality investment and partnership memos, synthesizing complex information for senior leadership.
Provide secondary support for Nu USA CorpDev activities, including deal and market intelligence relevant to Nubank's US business.
