About The Position

The Corporate Controller is responsible for overseeing the activities of the Corporate Finance Department, ensuring accurate and timely financial management reports, including internal and external financial statements, annual budgets, and annual audits. This role also manages disbursement and accounts receivable personnel, ensures corporate income tax compliance, leads the audit process, and establishes and maintains strong internal controls across the company. The position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving, enhancing the value of finance to the organization, and providing input for the annual company plan. Key responsibilities include monitoring the fixed asset system, administering corporate insurances, and performing other assigned duties.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field.
  • Ten (10) plus years of experience of proven leadership in Finance.
  • Strong analytical, numerical and reasoning abilities.
  • Participative management type – advocates team concept.
  • Able to read and understand technical and non-technical documents as relate to the contracts, and purchasing.
  • Able to provide improvement to processes as required.
  • Computer Proficiency.
  • Strong problem analysis and critical thinking skills.
  • Able to establish credibility and be decisive-but able to recognize and support the organization’s preferences and priorities.
  • Results oriented with the ability to balance other business considerations.
  • Able to define problems, analyze data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
  • Able to translate strategic vision into tactical plans and manage the change required to execute.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Proven ability to juggle multiple and often competing tasks and demands.

  • Must have a valid driver’s license and record that conforms to company’s insurance policies.
  • Must have current/valid passport for international travel.
  • Must meet the requirements and obtain an A.T.F “Responsible Persons Letter of Clearance”.
  • Authorized to work in United States.
  • Able to meet ATF & regulatory security requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Conforms with and abides by all regulations, policies, work procedures and instructions.
  • Oversees the activities of the Corporate Finance Department for the accurate and timely dissemination of financial management reports including, but not limited to, internal and external monthly financial statements, annual budgets, and annual audits.
  • Oversees the activities of disbursement personnel, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of accounts payable, purchase orders, petty cash, employee expense reports, and cash control.
  • Oversees the activities of accounts receivable personnel to ensure the accurate and timely management of all accounts receivable aging components including billings and receipt applications.
  • Assures corporate income tax compliance to ensure the accurate and timely completion of all corporate income tax returns taking full advantage of all favorable tax codes.
  • Leads for the Audit process and delivers timely unqualified audit reports that meet the deadlines of the company’s lenders.
  • Establishes and maintains systems and controls which verify the integrity of all systems, processes and data, and enhance the Company’s value.
  • Sets up and ensures a strong system of internal controls across entire company.
  • Provides month end and year end closing process.
  • Takes an aggressive approach to problem solving and enhancing the value of finance to the organization.
  • Provides leadership with input for preparation of annual company plan that summarize and forecast company business activity and financial position in the areas of income, expenses, and earnings based upon past, present and expected operations.
  • Responsible for monitoring the fixed asset system.
  • Administers Corporate Insurances (Directors & Officers, Property/Casualty).
  • Other duties as assigned.
