About The Position

WSP Global is seeking a highly motivated Manager, Controllership to take ownership of Corporate Accounting activities and contribute to the accuracy, quality, and reliability of our financial reporting. In this role reporting directly to the Director Finance, you will be the primary lead for month‑end execution, analytical support, and inter‑company processes across a complex global environment. As a Manager, you are the central driver of WSP’s month‑end and controllership operations. Your expertise will directly impact the integrity of our financial information, the performance of global accounting processes, and the strength of our internal controls. Requirements

  • A university degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 5 years of experience in corporate accounting, controllership, or financial reporting.
  • Strong technical skills and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
  • Familiarity with Oracle ERP (Oracle Fusion and Hyperion consolidation).
  • Strong analytical abilities, attention to detail, and the capacity to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent communication skills—able to convey financial information clearly to both financial and non‑financial audiences.
  • Bilingual (English and French), capable of engaging with stakeholders across multiple regions and time zones.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute the end‑of‑period close process, ensuring accurate and timely journal entries, reconciliations, and financial schedules.
  • Maintain high‑quality balance sheet reconciliations, proactively identifying discrepancies and resolving issues.
  • Prepare detailed profit and loss analyses, explain variances, and provide relevant insights to the Director and other stakeholders.
  • Perform and review foreign exchange gain/loss analyses, ensuring alignment with accounting and tax requirements.
  • Produce timely, accurate, and insightful financial reports that support corporate and regional decision‑making.
  • Maintain and reinforce internal controls, accounting policies, and standard operating procedures to support compliance and operational quality.
  • Identify and implement improvements in accounting processes, leveraging technology, automation, and standardization.
  • Support internal and external audit activities by preparing documentation, responding to inquiries, and ensuring smooth audit execution.
  • Lead the preparation, validation, and follow‑up of inter‑company transactions, ensuring accuracy and completeness across worldwide entities.
  • Lead the execution and review of the global recharge and allocation model, collaborating closely with global finance business partners.
  • Serve as a key partner to the tax department, supporting tax provision calculations, reporting, and compliance requirements.
  • Provide guidance and coaching to accounting professional, offshore and outsourced teams, fostering a high‑performance culture focused on accountability and innovation.
