About The Position

The Controller is a critical finance leader responsible for overseeing all accounting operations, ensuring the integrity of financial reporting, and driving a disciplined, scalable close and control environment. This role will partner closely with FP&A, operations, revenue cycle, and executive leadership to deliver timely, accurate financial information and insights. The Controller will also play a key role in strengthening internal controls, supporting audits, and building a high-performing accounting organization capable of scaling with the business. This role is foundational to ensuring financial integrity, enabling strategic decision-making, and supporting scalable growth. The Controller will serve as a key partner to the CFO and leadership team in driving operational and financial excellence across the organization.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data
  • Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills with the ability to mentor and develop staff
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with various departments and stakeholders
  • High attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership roles
  • Experience in healthcare, pharmacy, or highly regulated industries
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP
  • Experience managing audits and complex close processes

Nice To Haves

  • CPA strongly preferred
  • Experience in private equity-backed organizations
  • Familiarity with pharmacy revenue models and reimbursement complexity
  • ERP system experience (NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, Sage)
  • Experience building or transforming accounting functions
