About The Position

Blue Compass RV, based out of Fort Lauderdale, is a rapidly growing RV company with over 100 dealerships nationwide. They are seeking a Corporate Controller to join their team. The company emphasizes investing in its employees through training and development programs, fostering a family-like environment. The role involves leading a large accounting team, producing consolidated financial statements, managing the monthly close process, delivering operational and KPI reporting, overseeing tax compliance, supporting acquisitions, and enforcing internal controls and accounting policies across all locations. The Corporate Controller will also collaborate closely with the treasury function, FP&A, operations, and the executive team on financial strategy.

Requirements

  • 10+ years in accounting/finance, with 5+ years in a controller or senior leadership role
  • Multi-entity, multi-location environment
  • Oversight of large accounting teams (50+ employees)
  • Consolidations under US GAAP
  • Tax compliance oversight (federal, state, sales/use tax)
  • Bachelor's and/or Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • CPA required
  • Strong technical GAAP knowledge, including business combinations (ASC 805)
  • Strong knowledge of consolidation and intercompany elimination
  • Proficiency with ERP systems and NetSuite
  • KPI and management reporting in a high-volume, multi-unit environment
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills - able to influence across a matrixed org
  • M&A accounting and integration acumen
  • High attention to detail with the ability to see the big picture
  • Strong knowledge of Excel, Power BI and consolidation software

Nice To Haves

  • Multi-location auto, RV, powersports, or dealership group accounting experience (floor plan, rebates, F&I and chargebacks, vehicle titling implications, service and parts)
  • Acquisition accounting and integration experience (purchase price allocation, opening balance sheets)
  • MBA a plus
  • Proficiency with IDS, CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, or similar DMS
  • Experience with integration of AP, consolidation, and other systems

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a team of ~65 across a corporate accounting group and a shared services center (1 director, 6 managers, ~58 staff)
  • Produce consolidated financial statements across 100 dealership entities
  • Own the monthly close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Deliver operational and KPI reporting to executive leadership
  • Oversee tax compliance and coordinate with external tax advisors
  • Support due diligence and accounting integration for acquisitions
  • Design and enforce internal controls and accounting policies across all locations.
  • Work closely with treasury function to ensure secure cash payment flow.
  • Partner with FP&A, operations, and executive team on financial strategy
