About The Position
I'm partnering with a well-established commercial real estate company on Long Island to identify an experienced Controller to join their growing finance team. This is an outstanding opportunity to work alongside a highly respected, tenured CFO in a collaborative, team-oriented environment where your expertise will have a direct impact on the business.
Requirements
- 10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience
- Commercial real estate accounting experience required
- Strong experience with MRI Software
Nice To Haves
- Public accounting experience combined with private industry experience is highly preferred
Responsibilities
- Deep understanding of the general ledger, month-end close, and financial reporting
- Experience building and improving reporting processes and internal controls
- Previous leadership experience managing a small accounting team (3–4 professionals)
- Cash management and cash forecasting experience
