About The Position

ADM's Global Communications team is seeking a Corporate Communications Intern who will collaborate with a global team of 60 professional communicators and work closely with internal clients across ADM’s business. You’ll gain hands-on experience in corporate communications, social media, and public relations, with opportunities to create engaging multimedia content for internal and external audiences, develop communication strategies, contribute to social media campaigns, and support executive communications.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a four-year degree with an expected graduation date between December 2026 and summer 2028.
  • Minimum overall GPA of 2.8.
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from the assigned work location.
  • Must be located within commuting distance to Decatur or Chicago, IL.
  • Must be available for a 12-week internship from mid-May through early August 2027.
  • Successful completion of a background check is required.
  • ADM is unable to provide work visa sponsorship for this position.
  • Interest in communications, public relations, or related fields.
  • Strong writing skills, with the ability to simplify complex topics for various communication channels (e.g., social media, press releases, presentations).
  • Understanding of social media platforms and a desire to create content that aligns with company goals.
  • Excellent organizational skills and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional demeanor with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to integrity, safety, inclusion, and quality.

Responsibilities

  • Work with ADM’s Global Communications team to craft the company’s narrative for external audiences.
  • Assist in developing and implementing communication strategies and messages for company initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the team to optimize the use of communication channels, including social media and press releases.
  • Create internal communication content to highlight business achievements and boost employee engagement.
  • Support storytelling for senior leaders, connecting with both internal and external audiences.
  • Build relationships and collaborate with stakeholders across geographies and business units.
  • Expand your understanding of ADM’s history, strategy, culture, products, and services.
