About The Position

Select Sires is currently seeking candidates to join our team as a Corporate Communications Intern. This temporary, full-time, hourly, non-exempt position is at our Plain City, Ohio, facility and reports to Terri Smith, Director of North America Marketing. The internship focuses on supporting the production of breeding calendars, writing press releases and customer testimonials, coordinating trade show logistics, assisting with desktop publishing projects, performing clerical duties, and participating in photoshoots. The role requires serving as a positive representation of the Select Sires, Inc. Mission and Core Values.

Requirements

• Strong grammar and writing skills.
• Focus on details.
• Basic journalism and/or public relations knowledge.
• Experience with desktop design (Adobe Creative Suite) is a must.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of Associated Press Style is a plus.
• Major in communications, or in dairy- or animal-science with a communications focus, or a related area of study.
• Familiarity with dairy cattle pedigrees.
• Students in their junior or senior year are preferred.

Responsibilities
