About The Position

The Sales Analyst role is the sales support role within the Global Trade Finance line of business, accountable to provide support to Sales Professionals in ultimate support of the end client. The role is responsible for delivering effective sales support to the sales teams by acting as the day-to-day sales contact for the client for sales related questions and by providing support for pre and post sales activities such as document completion, requests for information and presentation collateral. This role is accountable for providing the coordination of trade finance client onboarding, financial transaction set-up and providing exceptional customer service to our clients. Providing exceptional customer service to Global Trade Finance clients. Aiding the Global Trade team in sales prep such as: client research, account metrics, deck drafts and prospect/client files in planning client/prospect meetings Compile pre-call and post call information packages for appropriate client analysis, ensuring the global trade team has the information necessary to be knowledgeable about the clients/prospects business and needs. Complete due diligence and credit analysis on new and existing client relationships. May include client visits, analysis of business models, and comprehensive review of industry trends and related regulations. Acts as the day-to-day sales support for sales related questions such as product information, pricing, and execution requirements. Assist with sales and service administration and processing ensuring client experience is seamless and opportunities are identified and met. Identifies opportunities for increased efficiency and improved service to internal and external clients. Responsible for timely execution as committed to the client. Ensures once completed, the client is provided with all required documentation. Exercises judgment to identify, diagnose, and solve problems within given rules.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or Master’s degree program with a graduation date of December 2026 or Spring 2027
  • A minimum GPA of 3.4/4.0

  • Provide lending expertise for a variety of sectors, establishing credit facilities to support trading products business and facilitating credit approvals in support of Trade Finance products.
  • Cross sell Corporate Banking products (e.g. FX / treasury products, cash management & corporate cards, commodities, investment management, securitization, leasing, Trade Finance products, etc.) to BMO Capital Market clients.
  • Provide ongoing management of the lending portfolio.
  • Develop written internal and external marketing pitch material.
  • Support deal teams in development, presentation, and winning mandates.
  • Review and assist in preparation of credit documentation (i.e. including applications, memoranda, presentations, etc.) for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Seek to develop an understanding of client needs and outcomes.
  • Provide analytical findings to deal teams.
  • Support the execution of strategic initiatives in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
