As a Portfolio Manager, you will support the growth and management of commercial corporate banking relationships through credit analysis, portfolio management, and client partnership. You'll help evaluate lending opportunities, manage risk, and deliver financial solutions that support client success. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in commercial banking, corporate banking, commercial real estate banking, specialized banking, or credit analysis.
  • Experience analyzing financial statements and assessing credit risk.
  • Strong analytical, relationship management, and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years of experience managing complex commercial credit relationships.
  • Experience supporting business development and cross-selling financial products and services.
  • Formal credit training or advanced credit analysis experience.
  • Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation or progress toward certification.
  • Reliable transportation and the ability to travel locally, as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze financial information and evaluate commercial loan opportunities to support sound credit decisions.
  • Manage portfolio risk by monitoring client performance, loan repayment activity, and overall credit quality.
  • Partner with Relationship Managers to strengthen client relationships and identify growth opportunities.
  • Coordinate loan renewals, financial reviews, and ongoing portfolio administration activities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to deliver responsive service and comprehensive banking solutions.
  • Identify and refer opportunities for treasury management, wealth management, capital markets, and other banking services.
  • Support new business development through due diligence, financial analysis, and credit recommendations.
  • Participate in community and industry activities that strengthen relationships and promote Associated Bank's presence in the market.
