The AVP Portfolio Manager II is responsible for evaluating individual credits for compliance with underwriting guidelines and accuracy of risk rating. Analyzes the bank’s loan portfolio for deterioration in quality. Researches local and national economic trends and interprets the potential impact on the loan portfolio. Analyzes and spreads customer financial statements. Evaluates risks in the loan portfolio and prepares management reports on the status of the loan portfolio. This role involves reviewing bank loans, critiquing and evaluating loans for deterioration in credit quality, scrutinizing individual loan files for compliance with Bank policy, federal regulations, completeness and accuracy of loan documents, financial strength of borrower, strength of collateral position and accuracy in risk grading. It also involves identifying weaknesses in credits for potential problems and/or losses and recommending corrective actions. Researching economic information and monitoring economic trends in the major industries affecting the loan portfolio and determining if additional risks to the bank have occurred. Analyzing borrower's financial position by spreading and analyzing borrower's financial statements and preparing written summaries of findings for use by Loan Officers on applications for new loans and annual renewals. Analyzing and comparing borrower financial performance to peer groups using national statistics. Conducting full loan analysis, including industry and local economic trends and risks, of selected borrowers. Preparation of Prescreen on existing and prospective Borrowers. Portfolio Risk Analysis includes researching and analyzing information relative to the bank’s risk in identified areas of loan and industry concentrations. Preparing management reports of specific economic or market trends affecting the bank’s loan portfolio. Conducting annual evaluations of large credits. Performing an examination and evaluation of individual loan officer and/or branch loan portfolios. Prepares various management reports as assigned by department management. Attendance is an essential function of the job. Other duties as assigned.
