About The Position

The Corporate Audit Intern works alongside a hiring manager, mentor, and team on tasks supporting Northwestern Mutual’s success. The intern participates in ongoing audits, performs directed audit testing, documents testing performed, and drafts audit issue documents when issues are identified. The summer internship runs from June 2027 through August 2027 and is onsite in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Interns also take part in professional development workshops, senior leadership Q&A sessions, volunteer initiatives, and networking and social events. Relocating interns may be eligible for round-trip airline or train travel, mileage reimbursement, and company-provided housing for the program, subject to the company’s relocation policy.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field at an accredited college or university.
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Previous work or classroom experience in accounting or auditing.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving ability.
• High degree of self-motivation, passion, and drive to learn.
• Ability to balance multiple priorities.

Responsibilities
