About The Position

Nelson Mullins is seeking a mid-level Corporate Associate with 2–5 years of experience to join its Emerging Companies, Venture Capital and Technology Team in Chicago. The associate will work with an experienced team advising emerging companies, entrepreneurs, founders, management teams, and investors. The role offers sophisticated corporate work, opportunities to develop client relationships, and the chance to grow within a collaborative practice. The team advises entrepreneurial ventures and represents emerging and growth-stage companies in corporate and financing matters. Its work addresses legal and business needs at every stage of company growth, from formation and early funding through employment, tax, intellectual property, and regulatory compliance matters, as well as mergers and acquisitions transactions from formation through exit.

Requirements

2 to 5 years of meaningful corporate transactional experience in a law firm setting.
Knowledge of corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, securities, and general corporate matters.
Strong writing, analytical, and communication skills.
Academic excellence.
Admission to and good standing with the Illinois bar.

Nice To Haves

Emerging company and venture capital experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities
