About The Position

This role acts as a Strategic Advisor and as deputy to the chief of staff to the Senior Vice President of Corporate Affairs. This role helps drive the execution of key business priorities across government affairs, communications, community engagement, stakeholder relations, and Business Development. The Corporate Affairs Operations & Policy Strategic Advisor coordinates cross-functional initiatives, manages executive-level projects, prepares leadership communications and presentations, and ensures alignment between External Affairs strategies and corporate objectives. The position acts as a trusted partner to senior leadership, helping to streamline decision-making, monitor progress against strategic goals, and foster collaboration across the company and with external stakeholders. Manages the internal work processes for the group to ensure efficiency, effectiveness, and compliance. Identifies internal opportunities for synergy. Acts as a liaison with other groups within the services company, especially legal, regulatory, and environmental and coordinates strategic direction with those other business units. Provides oversight and guidance on projects that are deemed to be of high importance. Influences effective and efficient decision making by prioritizing issues based upon criticality and organizing data in a clear, concise manner. Identifies growth opportunities, partnership opportunities, and opportunities for win/win solutions and innovation. Represent the Corporate Affairs Operations & Policy Senior Strategic Advisor and leadership in meetings and special projects as needed. Breaks down silos internally and in external engagement.

Requirements

  • 8-10+ years of relevant experience in External Affairs, Government Affairs, Community Engagement, Communications, Business Development or related fields.
  • A Master's degree will count as one year towards the experience requirement.
  • A partial year of six months or more of experience will be rounded up to one year.
  • Excellent analytical and project management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and with limited supervision and to initiate, prioritize, manage and successfully complete multiple, time-sensitive projects.
  • Ability to effectively communicate business strategies.
  • Aptitude for collaborating and managing relationships with executive leadership and other business partners across the enterprise.
