As Corporate Accountant reporting to the VP, Finance, you’ll influence optimal business decisions through a combination of excellent business partnering and financial modelling, working with commercial stakeholders to deliver our ambition growth plans. With a dotted line in the Senior Tax Manager, you’ll own critical accounting, reporting, and tax‑compliance responsibilities for all U.S. entities, ensuring financial accuracy, operational effectiveness, and regulatory compliance in a dynamic, fast‑paced media environment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety—technical accounting, process improvement, tax compliance, cross‑functional partnering—and who wants to develop into a trusted business advisor within a growing U.S. organization.

Requirements

CPA required; CMA or other U.S. accounting credentials considered.
3+ years’ post‑qualification experience with strong US GAAP expertise.
Proven ability to manage core accounting duties with high accuracy. Experience with US tax and experience in a corporate or media environment preferred.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
A proactive, improvement‑focused mindset.
Excellent written and verbal communication; thrives in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

Drive Financial Excellence & Own Core Reporting: Take full ownership of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting for all U.S. entities — ensuring absolute accuracy, strong US GAAP compliance, and insightful analysis that helps leaders make confident, data‑driven decisions.
Strengthen Controls & Elevate Operational Rigor: Lead the integrity of the general ledger, oversee reconciliations, enhance internal controls, and champion continuous improvement across accounting processes, systems, and documentation as the U.S. business scales.
Lead Tax Compliance & Partner with Group Tax: Manage U.S. sales tax, Commercial Rent Tax, and state corporate filings, while supporting audits, notices, and tax‑related inquiries. Act as a key bridge between U.S. Finance, Group Tax, and external advisors to ensure flawless compliance and smooth execution of all tax obligations.
Collaborate Cross‑Functionally to Accelerate Growth: Partner with Finance, Commercial, and Business Support teams to provide sharp financial insight, streamline processes, support new initiatives, and improve AP/AR workflows — enabling faster, more informed decision‑making across the business.
Champion Change, Innovation & Special Projects: Contribute to system implementations, efficiency improvements, and high‑impact ad‑hoc projects that strengthen the financial foundations of a fast‑moving digital media organisation.
