About The Position

The Engineering Development Program (EDP) at UPS is a structured, four-month training program for highly qualified Industrial Engineers. It provides hands-on experience in UPS Operations through classroom learning and real-world applications, supplemented by self-paced computer-based training and structured mentorship. The position leads the planning and execution of large project implementations and training initiatives. Upon successful completion of the program, participants are eligible to transition into an Industrial Engineering (IE) Supervisor role, applying their training to lead teams, drive process improvements, and support operational excellence.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in one of the preferred majors: Industrial Engineering, Process Engineering, Engineering & Technology Management, Industrial & Manufacturing Engineering, Automation Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management/Research, or Logistics.
• Must have a valid driver’s license by the start date of employment.
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Enthusiasm, idealism, creativity, and dedication to getting results.
• Ability to work collaboratively and independently.
• Ability to interact and communicate effectively across business units.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or national, a lawful permanent resident, or an alien authorized to work in the U.S. for this employer.

Responsibilities

• Leads and supports project and program management.
• Leads and supports process improvements.
• Performs work measurement using Master Standard Data (MSD).
• Conducts Operations Research.
• Participates in integrated business planning.
• Supports new technology integration and implementation.
• Administers training and development.
