About The Position
Sabates Eye Center is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible, fellowship-trained Cornea Surgeon to join its growing Kansas City-region practice. The role combines a busy clinical and surgical practice with academic collaboration with the University of Missouri–Kansas City (UMKC). The surgeon will maintain a strong surgical volume and help train and mentor ophthalmology residents. The practice offers an established patient base, a strong regional referral network, a broad mix of cornea, anterior segment, and cataract surgery, a collaborative multispecialty ophthalmology team, experienced clinical and surgical support, and modern technology and surgical facilities. Long-term growth, leadership, and partnership potential are available. Compensation includes a competitive base salary plus production incentives.
Requirements
- Board-certified or board-eligible.
- Fellowship-trained in cornea.
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical and surgical care in cornea, anterior segment, and cataract surgery.
- Maintain a strong surgical volume within an established practice and patient base.
- Teach and mentor ophthalmology residents through collaboration with UMKC.
- Collaborate with a multispecialty ophthalmology team.
