About The Position

The Core Systems Administrator I supports core financial systems by troubleshooting issues, optimizing processes, and contributing to a collaborative, solutions-focused IT team. This is a Full-Time position requiring 40 hours per week. The role offers hybrid or remote work options, with a preference for candidates who can work onsite periodically from hub locations in Endwell, NY; Saddle Brook, NJ; or Reading, PA. The compensation range is $31.25 - $43.27 per hour, with the hiring rate based on related experience, education, location, and relevant skills. Visions Federal Credit Union will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization or offer any immigration related support for this position.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field with 1–3 years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and relevant hands-on experience
  • Experience in systems administration, IT operations, or a related technical support role
  • Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills
  • Clear communication and the ability to collaborate across teams
  • A willingness to learn, adapt, and grow in a dynamic environment
  • The ability to take initiative and approach problems with possible solutions in mind

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with enterprise systems, automation, file transfers, or security practices is helpful
  • Exposure to financial services technology, banking systems, or credit union operations is a plus
  • Experience within financial services, credit union, or banking technology environments is helpful, though not required; transferable experience supporting complex systems is strongly valued
  • Ability to translate technical concepts and experiences into practical solutions within a business-facing environment
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize work, manage competing deadlines, and adapt quickly to changing priorities
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic environment where interruptions occur, while still meeting project timelines and deliverables
  • Proven ability to manage work from initiation through completion with a high level of accountability

Responsibilities

  • Support daily and monthly operation of core systems and related processes.
  • Monitor and maintain automation tools, scheduled jobs, and system interfaces.
  • Test software changes, support release cycles, and help maintain technical documentation.
  • Troubleshoot issues, validate solutions, and help minimize production impact.
  • Contribute to system security, patching, and business continuity efforts.
  • Participate in rotational on-call support for a 24/7 production environment.
  • Partner with teammates, internal stakeholders, and vendors on technical initiatives and special projects.
