The Position As a Core Lab Inside Sales Representative, you will be responsible for generating revenue and maximizing profitability and sales growth by closing sales. This role is typically aligned with a specific field sales rep(s) or field sales team. You will sell to and service accounts via phone, usually responsible for non-complex sales. You will operate under moderate supervision, applying advanced knowledge and skills to complete assignments requiring judgment and initiative. You will understand the implications of your work and make recommendations for solutions. You will receive little instruction on daily assignments and may determine methods and procedures on new assignments. You will be responsible for maintaining and continuously improving the quality system and achieving quality objectives through daily actions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years relevant work experience
  • Previous customer facing experience
  • Ability to work in a regulated environment
  • Ability to understand technical market issues and factors
  • Planning and organization skills
  • Ability to drive revenue generation

Nice To Haves

  • ADP or equivalent rotational program/internships could be considered in lieu of 2+ years’ experience.
  • Healthcare or laboratory experience
  • Experience managing competing priorities
  • Proficient with Microsoft office/Google Workspace
  • Proven collaboration skills with internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong oral and written communication skills including making impactful presentations
  • Negotiation and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

  • Supporting field sales representatives and regional business manager within their assigned territory.
  • Supporting and growing assigned accounts through menu expansion, service contract renewals and superior account management.
  • Managing and retaining your own assigned accounts and growing your customer base through menu expansion, contract extensions, and competitive instrument placements in the physician office laboratory space.
  • Contacting assigned customers and selling to/servicing accounts via phone or other electronic means within a designated territory to develop new business, grow existing business, maintain customer relationships and troubleshoot customer problems.
  • Identifying and developing strategic account plans.
  • Developing and delivering the differentiating message and quantifiable economic value for products and services.
  • Selling the primary differentiation of Roche products.
  • Overcoming and managing objections.
  • Negotiating to obtain sales.
  • Negotiating and managing ongoing account support, and programs to meet the customer and Roche’s needs.
  • Maintaining complete and accurate customer data for assigned territory in sales force automation system per the timelines provided by business area.
  • Capturing customer complaints and inserting them into the Roche Quality System through the CAPA process.
  • Following Good Promotional Practices as outlined by the Roche Quality System.
