About The Position

A Core Driller works independently to perform core drilling tasks on commercial pre-cast structures, usually post-erection. Long hours are involved, working in most weather conditions. Overnight stays are occasionally involved depending on the job location and requirement.

Requirements

• Must be able to work in a self-managed team.
• Ability to read and write English
• Ability to read tape measure (metric/imperial) and drawings
• Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
• Safety conscious
• Able to work well independently, with little supervision
• Attention to detail and accurate
• Reliable and highly motivated

Nice To Haves

• Welding experience an asset
• One year’s experience in a similar field is preferred

Responsibilities

• Drives to job sites
• Unload necessary equipment
• Reads plans and determine what drilling is required
• Measures and marks of the drilling areas
• Performs required drilling
• Maintains a safe and organized job site
• Helps the precast erection crew as required
• Cleans site and load equipment when tasks are complete
