About The Position

Limetree is seeking a Copy & Content Quality Specialist to enhance writing, editing, proofing, and content quality for both client and company materials. This role, reporting to the Creative department within Limetree’s marketing operations, involves close collaboration with creative, communications, digital, behavioral science, strategy, data, and account teams. It's a hybrid role that goes beyond traditional copywriting, encompassing original copy development, improving existing content, meticulous proofreading, managing content details, and ensuring clarity, accuracy, alignment, and performance of all materials. Given Limetree's focus on personalized materials, benefit details, audience segmentation, performance measurement, and versioned creative, this position requires a candidate who excels in both writing and careful review. The ideal candidate will apply judgment, precision, and a human understanding of communication to work involving data, AI, behavioral science, and marketing performance. While AI tools will be part of the workflow, human judgment, audience understanding, behavioral awareness, and thorough review remain paramount.

Requirements

  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills across marketing, sales, presentation, digital, and client-facing materials.
  • 3 to 6 years of relevant experience in copywriting, content development, editing, proofreading, marketing communications, or a related role.
  • Comfort working with detailed and structured information, including benefit grids, campaign matrices, audience segments, versioned copy, and data-informed personalization.
  • Ability to review materials carefully and identify inconsistencies across copy, data, audience, benefit, version, and channel details.
  • Experience working in an agency, marketing, communications, healthcare, financial services, insurance, or other complex/regulated environment.
  • Practical AI fluency, including experience using tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, or similar tools to support writing, editing, review, and content organization.
  • Good judgment regarding the appropriate use of AI and the necessity of human review.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across creative, behavioral science, strategy, data, digital, account, and operations teams.
  • Comfort with writing-adjacent tasks, including proof checks, benefit grid updates, content matrices, versioning documents, and production support.
  • Low ego, high standards, and a willingness to perform detailed work that enhances marketing effectiveness.

Nice To Haves

  • Healthcare experience is strongly preferred, especially experience with Medicare, Medicaid, health plans, providers, healthcare marketing, member communications, or regulated communications.

Responsibilities

  • Write, edit, and improve copy for a variety of client marketing materials, company content, LinkedIn posts, outreach, sales materials, presentations, direct mail, email, digital ads, landing pages, and other campaign materials.
  • Provide support for proofing and content quality during high-volume delivery periods, particularly for materials involving personalization, audience segmentation, benefit variation, or variable data.
  • Review materials for clarity, consistency, version control, benefit accuracy, audience/message alignment, and overall quality.
  • Assist in building, updating, and reviewing benefit grids, messaging matrices, content frameworks, proofing trackers, campaign version documents, and related materials.
  • Collaborate with Creative and Communications/Digital teams to support proofing processes, taking ownership of content quality and review.
  • Partner with Behavioral Science team members to translate behavioral insights into practical, clear, and audience-appropriate messaging.
  • Utilize performance results, campaign learnings, and client feedback to refine and improve existing account materials.
  • Develop new materials from scratch for growth opportunities, new client work, sales efforts, and campaign launches.
  • Support updates and improvements to existing materials, rather than solely focusing on creating content from a blank page.
  • Employ AI tools responsibly for copy development, editing, organization, summarization, versioning, and review, ensuring strong human judgment is maintained.
  • Contribute to improving Limetree’s standards for proofing, copy review, version management, and content quality across all client work.

Benefits

  • Base salary: $68,000 to $82,000, depending on experience.
  • Most qualified candidates expected to fall within the $71,000 to $75,000 range.
  • Consideration for higher end of the range for candidates with a strong combination of writing, proofreading, healthcare experience, AI fluency, and comfort with personalized or data-driven marketing materials.
