About The Position

Grand Canyon University is seeking a Copy & Mail Center Specialist to operate high-volume digital printing and copying equipment, process printing requests, and perform finishing tasks. This role involves monitoring inventory, providing customer service, maintaining equipment, and assisting with job cost tracking. The specialist will also be responsible for receiving, sorting, and distributing mail and packages, preparing outgoing mail, and supporting bulk mailings. Additionally, this position may assist with staffing needs across both mail and copy operations during peak and slow periods.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year experience in a mailroom, print shop, or customer service environment.
  • Working knowledge of print/copy equipment and postal/shipping systems preferred.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office; experience with print job ticketing systems a plus.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated reliability, attention to detail, and customer service orientation.
  • Must pass pre-employment background investigation.

Responsibilities

  • Operate high-volume digital printing and copying equipment, including black & white and color devices.
  • Process printing requests, ensuring accuracy, proper formatting, and timely completion.
  • Perform finishing tasks such as binding, laminating, folding, and cutting.
  • Monitor paper and toner inventory; restock supplies and request replenishment as needed.
  • Provide customer service support by assisting with walk-in print jobs and inquiries.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot copy/print equipment and escalate service needs as appropriate.
  • Assist in tracking job costs and logging usage data for billing/reports.
  • Receive, sort, and distribute incoming U.S. Mail, interoffice mail, and packages from carriers (USPS, FedEx, UPS, Amazon, etc.).
  • Prepare/meter outgoing mail and packages using postage systems and shipping platforms.
  • Maintain accurate logs and delivery records; ensure packages are tracked and signed for.
  • Assist with bulk mailings, mail merges, and labeling projects for campus departments.
  • Support staffing needs across both mail and copy operations during peak and slow periods.
  • Other duties as assigned.
