About The Position

With proper training, this role involves being part of a team responsible for chopping/staging parts for assembly, operating all equipment in the miter door cell, and moving material. The position requires a strong emphasis on safety consciousness and good housekeeping habits. Attention to detail is crucial to avoid scrap, and the employee must meet all quality standards and production goals. The role also requires willingness to perform any other tasks necessary for the department's success. These responsibilities describe the general nature and level of work but are not an exhaustive list.

Requirements

  • Two to three years of work experience
  • Knowledge of safe work practices
  • Ability to distinguish colors and species
  • Ability to read a tape measure and caliper
  • Math and computer skills
  • Ability to read/write/communicate in English
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Self-starter who works effectively without close supervision
  • Prolonged standing and repetitive motions, bending, stooping, reaching, pushing, and pulling
  • Frequently lift up to 25 lbs and occasionally up to 50 lbs
  • Push/pull carts
  • Hand dexterity and strength

Nice To Haves

  • One year of production experience or similar in carpentry or fast-paced, detail-oriented environment
  • Work neatly (gluing and stapling doors) and meet quality standards
  • High School diploma or GED
