About The Position

We are looking for a Logistics Coordinator to join our team and play a key role in coordinating domestic and international shipments while ensuring that customs, tariffs, taxes, and logistics-related transactions are handled accurately and efficiently. This position is ideal for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, analytical, and comfortable working with customs documentation, tariff classifications, invoices, and ERP transactions. You will work closely with internal departments, suppliers, carriers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers to ensure a smooth flow of goods and accurate processing of logistics transactions.

Requirements

  • Diploma or degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Trade, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 2–5 years of experience in logistics, transportation, customs, supply chain, purchasing, or a related role.
  • Experience with import/export processes and customs documentation.
  • Knowledge of HS codes and tariff classification.
  • Experience reviewing invoices and reconciling logistics-related charges.
  • Strong Excel skills and comfort working with data.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Understanding of HST/GST/QST and tax codes is an asset.
  • Experience with an ERP system; Infor SyteLine is an asset.
  • Bilingual French and English is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate domestic and international shipments with carriers, freight forwarders, suppliers, and customs brokers.
  • Manage and maintain information related to customs, tariffs, duties, taxes, and import/export requirements.
  • Review and validate HS codes, tariff classifications, and applicable HST/GST/QST tax codes.
  • Monitor changes to tariffs, customs regulations, duties, and trade requirements that may impact the company.
  • Review customs documentation and work with brokers to resolve discrepancies or clearance issues.
  • Verify freight, customs, brokerage, duty, and other logistics-related invoices for accuracy.
  • Ensure logistics transactions are properly coded and recorded in the ERP system.
  • Investigate discrepancies between invoices, purchase orders, shipments, customs documents, and ERP transactions.
  • Track shipments and follow up on delays, exceptions, damages, and other transportation issues.
  • Maintain accurate shipping, customs, tariff, and logistics documentation.
  • Collaborate with Accounting, Procurement, Warehouse, Production, and other departments to resolve issues and improve processes.
  • Support reporting and analysis related to freight costs, tariffs, duties, and logistics activities.
  • Identify opportunities to improve logistics processes, documentation, and transaction accuracy.
