About The Position

Under the direction of the Pastor, this role is responsible for wedding planning, including working with various vendors, volunteers, and other staff to successfully organize each special event. The Employee shall be a minister of the Gospel and Catholic Teaching behaviorally while at work and in his/her personal life, “…Live in a manner worthy of the call you have received.” (Eph. 4:1).

Requirements

  • A working knowledge of, and a strong commitment to the mission of fostering lay leadership in the Catholic Church; must be a practicing Catholic in full communion with the Church.
  • Excellent communications skills including written, verbal, public speaking, and presentation skills.
  • Excellent human relations and interpersonal skills; must be a self-starter and be well-organized; must be a team player; strong leadership skills.
  • Be available for evening and weekend work as necessary; have reliable transportation.
  • Be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in the use of computer technology including word processing and the use of excel and related technology; ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • The ability to successfully complete a criminal history and background check.
  • Professional bearing and clean and neat personal appearance
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in the use of personal computers and Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in event management
  • Bi-lingual (English, Spanish)

Responsibilities

  • Performs in support of the mission of the Parish and Catholic Church.
  • Shall abide by Catholic principles in the employee’s professional and public life and shall govern his/her professional and public life in accordance with Catholic morals and principles to demonstrate adherence to Catholic moral strictures.
  • Coordinates wedding ceremonies.
  • Work with staff, volunteers and others coordinate event details.
  • Ensure appropriate set up and breakdown of wedding.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
